Journeys Information

Journeys is a social group that meets at 2:30 p.m. on the second Monday of each month at The Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood.  Monthly programs vary from crafts to loss-centered self-care tips, seminars, workshops, and presentations by community experts.  Past meetings have included chair yoga, Tai Chi mindful movement, cooking classes, visits from aging specialists, licensed music therapists, grief counselors, and more.

Journeys was created in order to provide support to those in our community who have experienced the loss of someone they love, with the understanding that grieving hearts need care and connection.  The programs are free to all in the community, whether Murdoch Funeral Home had the privilege of serving your family, or whether your loved one was cared for by another funeral service provider.  No matter if the loss you experienced was recent or years ago.

Whether you choose to attend meetings regularly, or only stop by every once-in-awhile, know that you will be accepted and welcomed just as you are.

No two grief journeys are alike, to be sure, but no one should have to journey alone
