Zoee Elizabeth Norton, 19, of Marion, passed away due to injuries sustained in a car accident on Saturday, July 11, 2015. Funeral Services: 12:30 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2015, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion by Chaplain Mark McDermott. Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2015, and from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.

Survivors include her mother, Kelly (Bob) Springman of Cedar Rapids; her father, Chad Norton of Sheboygan, Wisconsin; her loving pet, Squirty; her maternal grandparents, Dave and Joan Adams of Marion; her paternal grandparents, Ronald and Sandra Norton of Sheboygan, Wisconsin; step-siblings, Mitchell (Christina) Springman of Cedar Rapids and Rachelle (Frank) May of St. Peters, Missouri.

Also surviving are aunts: Dawn (Steve) Fatout of Indianapolis, Indiana, Tammy (Bryan) Muller of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Wendy Prinsen of Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin; great aunts and uncles: John (Jolan) Adams, Tom (Linda) Adams, Bill (Becky) Adams, Sandy Adams, Chuck (Becky) Adams and Sally Adams, all of Waterloo, John (Louise) Boehm of Nashville, Tennessee, and Ron Riebe of Georgetown, Texas; and cousins: Jordan, Carrie, Andy, Casey, Sarah, Megan, Randy, Lisa, Rajean, Tammy, Trista, Brittnie, Chelsey, Zachary, Tanner and Hunter.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents: Mike and Leona Adams, Elvin and Bertha Boehm, LaVere and Alta Beahm, and Louis and Florence Norton; great-aunt, Jeanette Riebe; and a cousin, Kyle Fredericks.

Zoee was born on April 1, 1996, the daughter of Kelly Adams and Chad Norton, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. She graduated from Marion High School in 2014, and attended the University of Iowa. Zoee currently worked at Culvers restaurant. She was someone who touched many lives with her contagious laugh. Zoee cared so much about people and was very compassionate. She was strong willed, not afraid to speak her mind and loved to argue. Zoee’s intelligence was a gateway to her memorable experiences with RYLA, NCYL, and Lead for 5. Her passionate flair for life was displayed through her many artistic talents. Zoee will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Zoee's final gift was the gift of life through organ donation.
