Zella Mae Robertson Goodlove
December 8, 1921 — November 13, 2005
Zella Mae Robertson Goodlove, 83, of Central City, died Sunday, November 13, 2005, at Linn Manor Care Center in Marion following a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2005, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Jonna Jensen. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial: Jordan?s Grove Cemetery, Central City.
Survivors include her husband, Willard of Central City; a son, David and wife Nancy of Central City; two granddaughters, Maria Pillard and friend Ron McFadden of Central City and Sara Gallery and husband Jay of Troy Mills; four great-grandchildren, Logan Pillard, Remington McFadden, Jenna Gallery and Natalie Gallery; and a brother, Roger Robertson and wife Lorraine of Central City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Pauline Prchal; and three brothers, Wilbur, Kenneth and Paul Robertson.
Zella was born December 8, 1921, the daughter of John and Cora (Klinefelter) Robertson in Linn County. She graduated from Central City Community Schools. On October 29, 1940, she married Willard McAtee Goodlove in Iowa City. Zella was a past 4-H Leader, a past member of County 4-H Committee, Jordan?s Grove Church, Ladies Aid, and Wapsipinicon Country Club.
Zella will be remembered as a wonderful cook, an avid golfer and scorekeeper and a tireless farming companion.
