Zachary Evan Andrews

Zachary E. Andrews, 30, of Center Point, Iowa, passed away March 11, 2008. Services: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Center Point United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Mike Ellson and Ken Graham. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday March 14, 2008, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. Burial: Jordan’s Grove Cemetery, Central City next to his father.
Survivors include his mother, Brenda Andrews of Cedar Rapids; girlfriend, Morgan Sackett and family of Walker; brother, Jason (Emily) Andrews of Center Point; sister, Candice Andrews of Ft. Collins, Colorado; grandparents, George and Erma Andrews of Central City and William and Lillie James of Center Point; great grandmother, Juanita Fitzsimmons of Marion; nephews, Caleb and Carter Andrews; and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mark E. Andrews who died May 16, 2006.
Zach was born August 13, 1977, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Mark and Brenda (James) Andrews. He graduated from Coe College in 2001, with a bachelor degree in business and a minor in history. He was employed as a foreman for ASG Construction.
While at Coe College, Zach was All-American track athlete and received varsity honors for football. He was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping.
Instead of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Zach’s memory.
Zach was a loving son, brother, uncle and boyfriend who will be dearly missed.
