Yvonne K. "Bonnie? Kramer, 79, of Manchester, Iowa, died Thursday morning, February 27, 2003, at St. Luke?s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, after a brief illness.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 am Monday, March 3, 2003 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, Manchester, with Rev. Ralph Simington officiating. Friends may call from 3:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, with a Catholic Daughter?s Rosary at 4:30 pm and a Scripture Service at 5:00 pm, and at the church one hour before the service on Monday. Burial will be in the St. Joseph?s Catholic Cemetery in Earlville.
Bonnie was born on March 1, 1923, in Delhi, the daughter of Mary M. (Cavanagh) & Bertrand A. Thibadeau. She was united in marriage to Leon Kramer. Leon operated Kramer?s Garage, in Delhi, where Bonnie helped with the bookwork. Leon passed away in 1958. Bonnie was also a school bus driver for the Delhi school system.
In the early 1960?s Bonnie worked at the Delaware County Courthouse, first as secretary to the county engineer, then served as interim County Auditor. After leaving the courthouse Bonnie went to work for the LA Light-Wendling Quarry Company now known as Kuhlman Quarries, Manchester. In December of 2002 she was honored for her 20 years of service with the Kuhlman family. Bonnie enjoyed keeping busy and was very active, she especially enjoyed working in her yard and garden. Bonnie was a longtime member of the St. Mary?s Catholic Church. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, which she served as treasurer. Bonnie was a member of the Business & Professional Women?s Organization of Manchester and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Bonnie is survived by two sisters, Lourine Diamond and Anna Jane Reed, both of Dubuque, Iowa; sister-in-law, Doreen Thibadeau also of Dubuque; and several nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Bert & Mary Thibadeau, her husband Leon Kramer, and a brother, Bertrand Thibadeau.
