Wilma L. Wiese, 99, of 2520 28th Ave., Marion, died at Winslow House Care Center, Marion, on Tuesday, September 23, 2003, following a short illness. Services: 1 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2003, at Quimby United Methodist Church, Quimby, Iowa, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Carolyn Hollar will officiate. Burial: Quimby Cemetery. Arrangements are by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.

Survivors include a daughter, Janet (Jim) Dettbarn of Marion. Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; a son, George; two daughters, Joyce and Wanda; three sisters; and a brother.

Wilma was born the daughter of William and Mary Wallan Rollison on November 28, 1903, in Cherokee County, Iowa. She was married there on January 5, 1921, to George Wiese. He died on July of 1957. She and her husband farmed for many years in Hardin County. Wilma was a member of the Quimby United Methodist Church and V.F.W. Auxiliary.
