Wilma L. Andrews, 94, a resident of Living Center West, Cedar Rapids, formerly of Center Point, died Saturday, February 5, 2005, at the center. Services: 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2005, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, by Rev. Jeffrey Ginn of Green?s Grove Community Church. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m., Monday, February 7, 2005, at the funeral home. Burial: Green?s Grove Cemetery, Center Point.
Survivors include a close cousin, Bertha F. Oliphant of Center Point; a cousin, Doris Hepker of Glendale, Arizona; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Wilma was born August 25, 1910, in rural Center Point, the daughter of Aquilla Ellis and Alma Dean (Anderson) Andrews. She was a teacher for 45 years in several country schools, Palo and Center Point. Wilma was a member of Green?s Grove Community Church and a past member of ALERT Book Club and Center Point Senior Citizen?s Club.
