William Junior Hagerman
July 20, 1935 — July 14, 2006
William Junior Hagerman, 70, of Central City, died Friday, July 14, 2006, at his home, following a long illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at Central City United Church of Christ by Rev. Jonna Jensen. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Central City. Burial: Mt. Clark Cemetery, Central City.
Survivors include his wife, Linda of Central City; four children, Catherine Koss of Central City, Randy (Cheryl) Hagerman of Central City, Debra (Steve) Washburn of Iowa City and Rodney Hagerman of Central City; eleven grandchildren, Derek, Brandon, Sarah, Jeremy, Corey, Chris, Chasity, Amy, Mindy, Amber and Molly; and nine great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are four sisters, Beulah Power of Central City, Betty Stimpson Anamosa, Onalea Gallie of Cedar Rapids and Connie (L.C.) Howe of Alburnett; and a brother, Ronald Hurst of Independence.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Penny Hagerman; and two sisters.
William was born July 20, 1935, the son of William and Bessie (Taylor) Hagerman in Central City. On September 27, 1970, he married Linda L. Beasley in Blairstown. William worked for Harnisfeger & Goss for forty years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Central City Fire Department.
A memorial fund has been established in William?s memory.
