William L. “Bill” Graybill, 67, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, June 8, 2012, at his home of liver cancer, surrounded by his family. Services: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, with military honors. Family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2012, at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte; children, Angie Coleman, Lola Carrilla, Julie Kimm, Phillip Hayes, Laura Henderson, Donald Hayes, Denise Schirm and Steven Hayes; 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Gary (Regina) Graybill, Phoenix, Arizona; sister, Jeannie (Bill) Mangold, Coggon; many nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Mary Graybill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, David Lee and Robert Graybill.
Bill was born November 19, 1944, the son of Veryle and Frances (Emerson) Graybill, in Ryan, Iowa. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. On August 12, 1983, Bill was united in marriage to Charlotte LeClere at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He worked at Wilson Meat Packing for 10 years and then spent 40 years in the tire business.
