Willa Rinehart

Willa Rinehart, age 94, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, departed this life on Sunday, October 6, 2024. A memorial service is scheduled to take place in the Spring of 2025. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids assisted the family.
In Pender, Nebraska, Willa Grace Hahlbeck was born to William and Ida (Frink) Hahlbeck. She graduated from Wayne State College and went on to teach elementary school in Grand Island, Nebraska. Willa was united in marriage to Donald Ray Rinehart on April 13, 1952, in Pender. Her commitment to community service was evident through her volunteer work at St. Luke’s Hospital, and she was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and P.E.O. International. Willa also regularly attended Sharon United Methodist Church.
Left to cherish her memory include her children; Don (Tami) Rinehart, Lisa (John) Della Selva, Ken Rinehart (Lisa); her grandchildren, Christopher Rinehart, Nicole (Nick) Irving, Natalie Della Selva, Lauren Bayberry (Hannah); and her great-grandchildren, Jameson Irving and Charlee Irving.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; Brother, Donald Hahlbeck; and sister, Marcella Kai.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
