Wayne Roger Rounds

Wayne R. Rounds, 81, of Delhi, died September 16, 2007 at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester following a long illness.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at the Evergreen Cemetery, Delhi by Rev. Jill Mack. Friends may call from 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home in Manchester.
Wayne was born August 10, 1926 in Eagle Grove, the son of Charles and Florence (McVicker) Rounds. He attended school in Eagle Grove then helped his parents on the family farm. Wayne then worked road construction. On August 2, 1953 Wayne was united in marriage to Patsy J. Grubb in Waterloo. He retired in 1989 and moved to Delhi in 1992.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Patsy Rounds of Delhi; five children, Bruce (Sharon) Rounds of Cresco, Mike (Penny) Rounds of Peterson, Joyce (Gary) Johannsen of Wellsburg, Connie Jones of Hiawatha and Vicki (Justin) Hook of Cedar Rapids; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Virgil (Christy) Rounds of Tennessee; four sisters, Dorothy Williams of Clear Lake, Ethel Williams of Iowa Falls, Ileen Garnesy of Morning Sun and Joan King of Balton, MN.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary Jean Johnson; two brothers, Ralph and Chester Rounds; and a son-in-law, William Jones.
