Wayne D. McNeal, 67, of 1521 Oak Ridge Lane SE, Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, April 25, 2004, at St. Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a brief illness. Memorial Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2004, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. William Harnish. Private Inurnment: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his parents, Wilma "Cookie? & George Politis of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Larry (Patricia) McNeal of Manchester; a sister, Nancy (Russ) Franck of Cedar Rapids; and his nephew and nieces, Michael McNeal, Kelly McNeal, Chelsea Franck and Connie Nielson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glenn McNeal.
Wayne was born October 7, 1936, the son of Glenn and Wilma (Zach) McNeal, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids, he was an insurance agent for 40 years and owned and operated McNeal Insurance Agency. Wayne held a membership with the Cedar Rapids Bass Masters, Cedar Rapids Ducks Unlimited and the Lions Club.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Wayne.
