Wayne E. Beauregard, 88, of 1325 19th Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, September 15, 2007, in Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, Iowa, following a brief illness. Services: 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Gary Sneller. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, September 17, 2007, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Jane; children, Ronald Beauregard, Darralee Edsill and William Maroney; six grandchildren, Lance, Kelli, Hugh, Paige, Tabitha and Angie; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Betty) Beauregard; sisters-in-law, Wilma and Bessie Beauregard; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandchildren, Shane Edsill and Derrick Maroney; and brothers, Leonard and Darrell Beauregard.
Wayne was born May 3, 1919, in Vinton, Iowa, the son of Alden and Binie (Long) Beauregard. He served in the U.S. Navy and on December 1, 1956, he married Jane Maroney. Wayne worked for FMC for 31 years.
He was a member of the FMC Retirement Club, enjoyed woodworking, fishing, watching professional wrestling, scratch tickets and working in the yard. Most of all he loved his family.
