Warren E. Rohrssen, 81, of Manchester, Iowa, died at his home on January 1, 2004, following a lengthy illness.
A Memorial Service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 3, 2004 at the Manchester United Methodist Church with Rev. Roger B. Henry officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the services at the church. Inurnment will be at the Dunkerton Cemetery in Dunkerton, Iowa, with Military.

Warren was born on August 7, 1922, on a farm near Waverly, Iowa, the son of Ewald W. & Alice M. (Whitney) Rohrssen. He graduated from Dunkerton High School in 1940. Warren went to work as a pattern maker for Manning Pattern Company in Waterloo, Iowa. He entered the U.S. Navy on September 18, 1942, serving as a Machinist?s mate second class. Upon his discharge on January 8th 1946, he returned to the Waterloo area. On June 16, 1946, Warren was united in marriage to Maxine E. Kirby in Story City, Iowa. The couple lived in Waterloo until moving to Manchester in 1965. In 1964, Warren started the Warren Corporation in Manchester, Iowa. He retired in 1987 as a Master Pattern Maker.
Warren was a member of the Manchester United Methodist Church, Manchester, and the Masonic Lodge #165 in Manchester, Iowa.
Warren is survived by his wife, Maxine Rohrssen of Manchester; a daughter and her husband, Linda & Mike Sherfy of Grand Marais, Minnesota; a son and his wife, Craig & Alice (Graeme) Rohrssen of Marengo, Iowa; three grandchildren and their families, Mark & Mindy Sherfy and their sons, Joshua and Jordan, and Megan Rohrssen and Charles Rohrssen.
Warren was preceded by his parents, Ewald & Alice Rohrssen and a brother, Lynn Joseph Rohrssen.
