Wanda Lee Michelson, 88, of Manchester, Iowa, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 25, 2023, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester. Visitation will be Monday, August 28, 2023, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester. Funeral Service will take place Tuesday, August 29, at 10 a.m. with additional visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. at The Stone Church in Manchester with Pastor Treye Schupbach officiating. Burial will take place at 3:30 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery in Britt, Iowa, with Pastor Steve Couch officiating.
Wanda was born on May 8, 1935, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Hazel (Holverson) Paulson. She graduated from Britt High School and attended technical school. Wanda married Allen Michelson on August 20, 1961, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. She worked at West Delaware School District in Manchester for many years, retiring in 2000. Wanda was a member of The Stone Church in Manchester and was active in church and civic organizations. Her faith in Christ was strong and vibrant, and impacted every part of her life. Wanda enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Wanda is survived by her children, Robert Michelson of Centennial, Colorado, Scot (Karen) Michelson of Fayette, Iowa, Paul (Lisa) Michelson of Shellsburg, Iowa, Corinne (Tim) Ball of Britt, Iowa, Kurtis Michelson of North Liberty, Iowa; grandchildren, Pam (Grant) McDonough, Craig (Hilary) Michelson, Julie (Travis) Albert, Kaylee (Hannah) Michelson, Jacob Michelson, Lucas Ball, Ethan (Abigale) Ball, granddaughter-in-law, Lydia Ball; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Hazel Paulson; husband, Allen Michelson in 1992; grandchildren, Andrew Ball and Ellen (Michelson) Fike; and great-grandson Ezekiel Ball.
