Wanda Lee Belden, 77, of Manchester, surrounded by family, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, June 26, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Memorial Services will be held Monday, June 30, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. by Rev. Tony Ede at First Lutheran Church, Manchester. The family will greet friends from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Bohnenkamp Murdoch Funeral Home in Manchester. Interment will be at a later date.

Survivors include her husband, Richard; children, Julie Belden, and Jim (Trevelle) Belden; grandchildren, Blake and Brooke Belden; and a sister, Eva Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Audrey Hill.

Wanda was born October 3, 1936, in Kanawha, Iowa, the daughter of Knute and Clara (Shaw) Fosen. Wanda married Richard Belden on December 24, 1961 in Kanawha, Iowa. She worked as a special education aide with the West Delaware School District for many years. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Manchester. Wanda enjoyed reading, bible studies, ministering to people by sending encouraging words through cards, crafts, and most of all spending time with family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in her memory.
