Vyrl Clark, 43, of Marion, passed away after a 4 year courageous battle with cancer on Friday, April 10, 2015, at St. Luke’s Hospital. Per Vyrl’s wishes a memorial gathering will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa; children, Braeden, Easton, and Camryn; father, Roger Clark of Omaha, Nebraska; two sisters, Amber (Sonny) Johnson of Omaha, Nebraska and Kim (Brian) Spire of Rapid City, South Dakota; father and mother-in-law, Nelvin (Sharol) Miedema of Sheldon; sister-in-law, Nicky (Jerry) Cline of Cedar Rapids; brother-in-law, Scott (Jennifer) Miedema of Ireton; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia.
Vyrl was born December 24, 1971, in Honolulu, Hawaii, the son of Roger and Patricia (Beed) Clark. He graduated from Warren Hills High School in Washington, New Jersey and completed degrees from ITT Tech and Kirkwood Community College. Vyrl was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran, serving during Operation Desert Storm. In 2001, Vyrl began working at Qorvo where he was a Senior Test Engineer. He enjoyed his job and his co-workers. On September 26, 2004, he married Lisa Miedema in Hospers, Iowa.
Vyrl enjoyed running, volleyball, motorcycles, and hunting. His greatest joy was his children and he was a wonderful dad.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for his three children.
