Vivian M. Waeyaert (Benedict)

Vivian M. (Benedict) Kelley Waeyaert, 86, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, July 9, 2009, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, following a short illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion, by Rev. Mark Reasoner. The family will greet friends 4 ?" 7 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2009, at the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Connie (Tom) Kelley Zenisek of Cedar Rapids, and Tom J. Kelley of Marion; three grandchildren, Jon (Helen) Kelley, Brad Kelley, and Kelli (Justin) Zenisek Salow; and eleven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother Russ (Phyllis) Benedict; and sister, Betty Poppe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Don Benedict, Delbert Benedict, and Arnie Benedict.
Vivian was born March 21, 1923, the daughter of Russell and Dorothy (Willet) Benedict in Spring Grove, Iowa. She worked for many years at Bendix Corp. in Davenport.
