Virginia Audrey West (Larson)

Virginia West, 91, of Edgewood, Iowa, formerly of Nevada, Iowa, died Thursday, July 20, 2006, in St. Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a short illness. Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 24, 2006, at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery by Rev. David Burling of Memorial Lutheran Church. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her son, Bruce (Mary Ann) West of Edgewood, daughter, Penelope (Jack) Peacock of Cedar Rapids; a granddaughter, Lynn (Ron) Halstead of Marion; three grandsons, Jay (Marcia) Peacock of Cedar Rapids, Jim (Kerra) West of Edgewood, and Jason (Alison) West of Des Moines; and four great grandchildren, Adam and Amanda Halstead, McKean Peacock and Chelsea Myers all of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents; and a brother, Neal Larson.
Virginia was born July 3, 1915, in Orchard, Iowa, the daughter of Jessie (Thornberg) and Carl Larson. On June 3, 1938, she married George West in Mason City, Iowa. He died in 1984.
