Virginia M. Madsen, 81, formerly of Center Point, a resident of the Lutheran Nursing Home, Vinton, died there Sunday, April 27, 2003, following a long illness. Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2003, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, where friends may call from 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2003. Rev. Mike Ellson will officiate. Burial: Center Point Cemetery, Center Point.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Gladys Hegland; and her son, Greg.
Virginia was born October 28, 1921, the daughter of Charles and Sophia (Boese) Larson, in Buena Vista County, Iowa. On December 21, 1941, she married Donald Madsen in Storm Lake, Iowa. He died May 20, 2000. Virginia worked at Northwestern Bell Telephone Co.
