Violet June Paulsen, 85, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2015, at her home. Visitation: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Thursday, December 10, 2015, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. Funeral: 12:00 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial: Lafayette Cemetery.
Violet is survived by her children, Kenneth (Sharon) of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Carolyn of Alburnett, Kevin (Jenny) of Cedar Rapids, Sheryl (Ed) of Alburnett, and Barbara (Moe) of Central City; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother; sister; and a grandson who died in infancy.
Violet was born June 9, 1930 to George and Iola (Conley) Switzer. On August 23, 1946, she married Albert “Dave” Paulsen in Olin, he passed away in 2000. Violet worked at care facilities/nursing homes in the area as a dietary supervisor until her retirement. Violet enjoyed crocheting, but her greatest love of all was her family and the time spent with them.
