Victoria C. Neuzil, 90 of Marion, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, September 6, 2021. Family will greet friends and family from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, conducted by Reverend Philip Thompson. A livestream of the Funeral Mass for Victoria will be available on the church website. Burial will follow at Dunkard Cemetery in Midway, Iowa. All guests are respectfully requested to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
Victoria was born on May 2, 1931, in Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of Leonard and Isabel (Baron) Lujan. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Oelwein. Victoria was united in marriage to Anthony Cyril Neuzil on October 6, 1956, in Spillville, Iowa. She worked for Collins Radio, Turner Microphone, and Me-Too Deli. In her younger years, Victoria enjoyed dancing, bowling, and bike riding on the roads and trails. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Victoria’s hobbies included baking, knitting, crocheting, and pottery. She loved music, singing, shopping, and puzzle solving. Victoria will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Victoria is survived and lovingly remembered by her four sons, Allen (Barbara) Neuzil of Davis, Illinois, Blair (Nikki) Neuzil of Alburnett, Iowa, Clint Neuzil of Atlanta, Georgia, and Dale (Alissa) Neuzil of San Diego, California; seven grandchildren, Shondra, Toni, Laura, Mark, Jacob, Amy, and Maya; four great-grandchildren, Devin, Adrien, Kieran, and Anduin; two sisters, Consuelo Ledesma of Oelwein, and Alberta Berumez of Waterloo, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Anthony “Tony” Neuzil on December 20, 2014; two sisters, Marie Tafolla and Estefana Meyne; and four brothers, Peter Lujan, Juventine “Mike” Lujan, Estanislado “Stan” Lujan, and Felipe Lujan at the age of five years.
