Vernon Dale Fee, 85, of 417 Orchard Drive, Cedar Falls, Iowa, died August 21, 2006, in the Grandview Heights Nursing Home, in Marshalltown, Iowa, of heart failure. Services: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 24, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, by Rev. John Miller of Trinity Wesleyan Church, Cedar Falls. The family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial: Center Point Cemetery, Center Point.
Survivors include a son, Joseph Fee of Smithville, Tennessee; a daughter, Toni (Keith) Ericson of White House, Tennessee; five grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and two brothers, Earl Fee of Brandon and John Fee of Vinton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Zelma; his parents; and two brothers, Clarence and Charles.
Vernon was born October 20, 1920, in Center Point, Iowa, the son of Vernard and Zora (Robinson) Fee. On November 15, 1940, he was united in marriage to Zelma Allensworth in Kirksville, Missouri. He was a member of the Air Corps of the Army during WWII. He was a cement contractor for Vernon Fee Cement & Masonry putting his "V. Fee? stamp all over Black Hawk county and worked for Rath Packing Company for 43 years. Vernon was an avid member of the American Rifle Association.
