Ula Mae Roling, 76, formerly of Earlville, died Monday, January 23, 2017. Visitation will be 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2017, at Bohnenkamp – Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester with a 3:00 p.m. Scripture Service. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Earlville, with Father Dole officiating. There will be visitation one hour prior to mass at Clifton – Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Earlville. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Earlville.
Ula was born to Ivan and Sylvia (Hyde) Torrey on June 15, 1940, in Colesburg, Iowa. She attended Guttenberg schools. Ula married Gustove Kuhse and two children were born to the couple. Ula worked in a factory, as a cook, and then as a newspaper delivery manager. On June 29, 1991, Ula was married to Anthony Roling in Earlville.
Ula is survived by her children, Ronald (Deb) Kuhse of St. Olaf, Todd (Patty) Kuhse of Independence, Julie Roling, Kathy (Dave) Selle, Barb (Dave) Simon, Donna (Chris) Manternach, Tim (Tobey) Roling all of Dubuque; Jeff (Lora) Roling of Boscobel, Wisconsin, and Brian Roling of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by LeAnna Krapfl (Ted Fox) of Manchester, and a brother, Curt (Betty) Torrey of Cedar Rapids.
Ula was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tony; and a daughter, Pattie Jo.
