Tyler "Ty" Brad Russell

Tyler “Ty” Brad Russell, 7 weeks old, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at his home. Visitation: 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2017, at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Jared R. Staten.
Survivors include his parents, Eyasu and Anna (Bechen) Russell; siblings, Asia and Zendaya Russell; grandparents, Mary Kay Bechen, Brad and Amy Russell; aunts and uncles; Melissa and Jesse Sawyer, Tesfay Russell, Henok Russell, Seth Russell, Drew Russell, Micah Russell, Joseph Russell, Fitsum Russell, Mel Russell, Heather Shea (Oscar) Corona and Zach Russell; and cousins, Zara Sawyer and Mirage and Maximiliano Corona.
Ty will be lovingly remembered as being the best baby. He was perfect and amazing. Even though his time here was brief, he has touched the lives of many. He enjoyed cuddling with us and snuggling his favorite giraffe pacifier nicknamed “Elliot.” His unique little smile would melt our hearts. His little life was a gift from God and will live on as his heart valves were donated and received by those in need. His mom, dad, big sisters, and family loved him immensely. He will be greatly missed.
