Trinity Star Kaufman

“Our brave little girl” Trinity Star Kaufman, two week old daughter of Megan and Rob Kaufman of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, September 20, 2007, at University of Iowa Children’s Hospital, Iowa City, following a spirited battle with complications of prematurity. Services: 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 24, 2007, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends from noon until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 23, 2007, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

In addition to her parents survivors include, her sister, Madison Kaufman; maternal grandmother, Kathy Welton of Cedar Rapids; paternal grandparents, Robert and Kathy Kaufman of Cedar Rapids; paternal great-grandmother, Becky (John) Nash of Cedar Rapids; paternal great-grandfather, Joe Potter of Ames; an aunt, Tina Welton-Spina of Cedar Rapids; uncle, Mike (Jolene) Welton of Cedar Rapids; great-uncle, Brian Potter and great-uncle, David (Cheryl) Potter, both of California; great-aunt, Kelly (Bruce) Trumpold of Amana and great-aunt, Donna (Richard) Gelski of Marion; and several cousins including, Sammy and Andy.

She was preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, David Welton.
