Tran Cam Van

Tran Cam Van, 68, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, November 25, 2023. A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at The Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood in Cedar Rapids. A ceremony will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at The Legacy Center.

Tran Cam Van was born October 10, 1955, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, the daughter of Tran Hung Dan and Nguyen Thi Choi. In 1987, she was united in marriage to Ngo Huu Thanh in Manila, Philippines. Tran Cam Van worked for Whirlpool until her retirement. She was a quiet woman who enjoyed listening to music. Tran Cam Van loved cooking and caring for her family. She was a brave woman who fought for ten years after experiencing a stroke.

Survivors include her husband, Ngo Huu Thanh of Cedar Rapids; son, Ngo Tran Hoang Viet; daughter, Brooks Ngo Tran Thuc Khanh (Jerome Brooks); siblings, Nguyen Van Quang (Vo Ngoc), Quach Hao, Nguyen Trac, and Tran Dieu Chau; grandson, Kross Brooks; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nguyen Thi Choi; father, Tran Hung Dan; and son, Ngo Tran Duy Khang.
