Tony Neil Tlusty

Tony Neil Tlusty, 69, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Monday, January 22, 2024, at his home. Private Memorial Services will be held at a later date with burial at Czech National Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, assisted the family.
Tony was born October 15, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Wilfred and Evelyn (Vomacka) Tlusty. He graduated from Jefferson High School where he enjoyed playing the clarinet. Tony also attended Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids. He worked at Me Too and The Gazette. Tony had a passion for chemistry. Marketing and selling on Ebay was also something he enjoyed as well as being an avid collector. Tony will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his siblings, Sheryl (Dan) Kobusch of Cedar Rapids and David (Joanne) Swenka of Marion; nieces and nephews, Scott Swenka, Robin Swenka, Dillon Kobusch, Angela Kobusch, Brad Tlusty, Greg Tlusty, and Ed Tlusty; and several great-nieces and nephews.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ted Tlusty.
