Tom Besler

Tom Besler, 35, of Manchester, died Thursday, October 5, 2006 as a result of a motorcycle accident near Backbone State Park, Dundee.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 10 at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester by Rev. Kurt Pasko. Family will greet friends from 4-8 Monday and one hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Tom was born April 23, 1971 in Manchester, the son of Thomas U. and Anne E. (Ryan) Besler. He graduated from Ames High School. Tom worked on many bridge projects for Taylor Construction, Goberson & Smith and most recently for Cedar Valley Steel. He was a member of the Ironworkers Union Local #89. Tom enjoyed motorcycles, especially his Harley.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Michalyn of Manchester; his mother, Anne Aldrich of Strawberry Point; two sisters, Rebecca Koth of Strawberry Point and Karen (Brent) Maurer of Manchester; maternal grandmother, Margaret Bonecutter of Strawberry Point; a niece, Mandy Besler; and four nephews, Tyler Besler, and Hunter, Connor and Matthew Koth.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Besler; step-father, Bob Aldrich; and his paternal grandparents.
