Timothy “Tim” R. Sheriff, Sr., 54, of Ft. Scott, Kansas, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, October 24, 2010, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House, Hiawatha. Graveside Service: 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 28 at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements with Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his former wife, Joyce and their seven children, Michell and John Higgins of California, Timothy Sheriff, Jr. of Ft. Scott, Kansas, Shawn and Chandra of Colorado, Melissa and Philip Stevens, Andrew Sheriff, Marie Sheriff and Cody Sheriff, all of Kansas; 15 grandchildren; sister, Nancy Sisco of Marion; brothers, Rick of Cedar Rapids, Ron (Sharon) of Spencer and Gary of Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Mae Sheriff; brother, George Sheriff, Jr; and sister, Kathy Walton.
Tim was born July 13, 1956, the son of George and Betty Mae (Grooms) Sheriff, Sr, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Tim enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, working on cars and most of all spending time with his children and family.
