Tim K. Grissel, Sr., 74, of Solon, Iowa, died Tuesday, May 24, 2022. Private family burial will take place at Shueyville Cemetery in Shueyville, Iowa. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family.
Tim was born November 5, 1947, in Cedar Rapids. He graduated from Prairie High School, Class of 1965. Tim owned and operated Grissel Sheet Metal Company and Newell Machinery Company. He was united in marriage to Gayle Irene Wall on February 1, 1969.
Survivors include his children, Tim Grissel, Jr. (Heather Parrish), Kelly Grissel (Shane Powell), all of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Jason, Alyssa, Sydney, and Kamryn; and his beloved dog, Jenny.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Gayle Grissel.
