Thomas A. Weber, 58, of 395 St. Olaf Street S.W., Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday afternoon, January 14, 2004, in St. Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, from complications of a heart condition. Services: 12:00 p.m. (noon) Saturday, January 17, 2004, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Karl Glovik. Military rites will be performed. Burial: St. John?s Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today (Friday) at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; two sons, Steve Weber and Tim (Debbie) Weber, all of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Ashley, Brooke and Phillip; his mother, Phyllis Weber of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Mike (Marla) Weber of Cedar Rapids and Joe (Karen) Weber of Charlotte, North Carolina; five sisters, Sandy (Dick) Helm of Las Vegas, Nevada, Cindy Weber of Cedar Rapids, Carol (Vince) Seybert of Fairfax, Janet Parrott of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Kim (Chuck) Graham of Rochester, Minnesota; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sandy and Jim Miller of Anamosa; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother Ronald Weber.
Born April 4, 1945, in Galveston, Texas, to Donald and Phyllis Morningstar Weber, he married Sharon Susan Allen on October 3, 1964, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He served with the U.S. Navy. For twenty-eight years, he worked for Lefebure Manufacturing in Cedar Rapids and recently at Evergreen Packaging in Cedar Rapids. Thomas was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who loved fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.
