Thomas Jamie "Tj" Parmer

Thomas Jamie “TJ” Parmer, 44, of 3130 Pioneer Ave. SE, Cedar Rapids, formerly of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died Thursday, April 16, 2009, at home. Per TJ’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services at this time. Private family inurnment will take place at Coggon Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion.
He is survived by his parents, Tom Parmer and Margaret Waters-Parmer of Wyoming, Iowa; two brothers, Dan Parmer of Cedar Rapids, and Douglas (Donna) Parmer of Independence; grandparents, Gene and Bonnie Parmer of Maquoketa; aunt, Florence (Ray) Denbow of Cedar Rapids; one niece, Suzanne; and three nephews, Daniel, Christopher, and Andrew.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lura and Chester Waters.
TJ was born March 20, 1965, to Thomas Parmer and Margaret Waters-Parmer in Newport News, Virginia. He owned and operated The Wood Doctor for the past five years, where he worked on furniture warranty repairs all over Eastern Iowa.
