Thomas J. "Tommy? Reilly, 68, of Ryan, died Friday, April 15, 2005, at the Memorial Hermann South West Hospital in Houston, Texas, following complications of surgery.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am on Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Ryan, Iowa. Friends may call from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday at the Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester, where there will a Rosary recited at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Ryan.
Tommy was born on November 1, 1936, in Independence, Iowa, the son of Patrick T. "Packy? & Elizabeth B. [Ward] Reilly. He attended school in Monti, Iowa, later graduating from St. Patrick?s High School, Ryan, in 1954. On April 24, 1957, Tommy was united in marriage to Rose Ann Supple at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Ryan. Tommy farmed all his life in the Ryan area. The couple wintered in Mission, Texas.
Tommy was a member of St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Ryan and was very active in his church and community.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Rose Ann Reilly of Ryan; his eight children, Tim (Lori) Reilly of Manchester, Lynne (Terry) Ryan of Ryan, Terry (Carla) Reilly of Marion, Ted J. Reilly of Ryan, Tom Reilly, Jr. of Ryan, Tully (Chris) Reilly of Ryan, Laina Reilly of New Orleans, Louisiana, Leah (Brian) Mensen of Red Oak; fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild; four sisters, Rita Gatens of Calistoga, California, Jeanne (Emmet) Dolan of Coggon, Donna (Gene) Wagner of Loves Park, Illinois, and Marjorie (Dave) Strang of Cascade; and one brother, Donald (Mona) Reilly of Coggon.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick T. "Packy? & Elizabeth B. Reilly and two sisters, infant Mary Katherine Reilly and Marilyn "Morrie? Murrin.
