Thomas H. McGrew, 71 of 2249 C Street SW, Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, September 1, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following a sudden illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2005, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. William Harnish. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday, September 5, 2005, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his two sons, Dan McGrew of Salisbury, North Carolina and Rick McGrew of Fairfax, Iowa.
Also surviving are two grandchildren, Sara and Beth.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Robert.
Tom was born October 16, 1933, the son of Guy and Hazel Donelson McGrew, in Des Moines, Iowa. He owned and operated McGrew Welding for many years and then worked for Universal Engineering until he retired.
Survivors include his two sons, Dan McGrew of Salisbury, North Carolina and Rick McGrew of Fairfax, Iowa.
