Thomas F. McEnany, 56, of 2565 23rd Ave., Marion, died Saturday, March 6, 2004, in Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, after a long illness. Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marion. Friends may call from 4 - 8 p.m. today (Monday) at the funeral home, where a parish vigil services will begin at 5:30 p.m. Burial: Palo Cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Steve (Shannon) McEnany of Altoona; a daughter, Stacy (Robert) Scott of Marion; his partner-in-life, Ruth Ferdig of Marion; his parents, A.J. and Loretta McEnany of Manchester; two brothers, Arthur (Ginny) McEnany of Topeka, Kansas, and Bill McEnany of Ryan; five sisters, Barb (Dan) Feldmann of Cedar Rapids, Margie (John) Heles of Des Moines, Marilyn (Charlie) Moore of Cedar Rapids, Maxine McEnany of Bettendorf and Kathryn (Jon) Christensen of Lakeland, Florida; and five grandchildren, Samantha and Austin "A.J.? McEnany and Megan, Makayla and Madison Scott.
He was preceded in death by a son, Scott.
Tom was born on March 26, 1947, the son of Arthur "A.J.? and Loretta (Short) McEnany in Manchester, Iowa. In 1965, he graduated from St. Patrick?s Catholic School in Ryan. He was united in marriage to Marilyn Drafahl on May 11, 1968. They later divorced. Tom was employed at Rockwell-Goss for many years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Lodge 831. Tom was of the Catholic faith.
