Thomas Duane Fritz, 60, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Monday, September 22, 2014, at his home. Memorial services: 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2014, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial: Czech National Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Bonnie Fritz; son, Matthew (Sarah) Fritz; grandson, James; sisters, Sharon Dunn and Kathy Fritz all of Cedar Rapids; and many other loving family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Thomas was born on July 1, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, son of Raymond and Dorothy (Topinka) Fritz. Tom was a member/officer of the Laborers’ Local Union 43 and was a superintendent at Blahnik Construction, retiring in 2009. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Memorials may be directed to Hall Perrine Cancer Center.
