Theresa Louise Fountain

Theresa Louise Fountain, 78, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, January 25, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following a brief illness. Services: 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2006, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Del Bear. The family will greet friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, January 28, 2006, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include three sons, Michael (Cindy) of Cedar Rapids, Chuck (Karen) of Van Horne, and Sam of Cedar Rapids; nine grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah (Aaron) Schoner, Brent, Jenni, Kate, Morgan, Michelle, Mitch and Trish; a stepgreat-grandchild, Malaki; and a sister, Joyce Webb of Houston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Buss Adams; three sisters, Virginia Succow, Kate Bixby and Audrey Allard; and a special friend, John Pealer.
Theresa was born August 25, 1928, the daughter of Clarence and Margaret (Rohders) Adams, in Covington, Iowa. On January 27, 1946, she was united in marriage to Robert Fountain. He died December 7, 1979. For 29 years, Theresa worked at Quaker Oats, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the RWDSU Local 110 and Eagle?s Club.
She will forever be the sweetest of all memories for her children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, friends and admirers, including many who considered her to be their mom, too.
