Theodore "Ted? R. Schonfeldt, 79, of 125 Wilson Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, October 14, 2004, at Heritage Nursing and Rehab Center following a brief illness. Services: 1:00 p.m., Sunday, October 17, 2004, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Pacific View Memorial Park, Corona Del Mar, California.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene; a sister, Lydia (Mike) Linn of Hemet, California; special friends, the Gruber family; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Viona, Caroline, Malinda, Manetta; his brothers, Reed, Lee, and LaVerne; and his dog, Prancer.
Ted was born November 5, 1924, the son of Theodore and Minnie Glinke Schonfeldt, in Alma, Iowa. On October 29, 1988, he married Darlene Keenan in Pasadena, California. Ted was a supervisor at Freidman Bag Manufacturing for forty years. He was very involved with children and enjoyed managing little league for 17 years. He was also a member of the Lutheran Church in Alhambra, California. Ted had a great sense of humor and was a very kind man. He was always there for this family and friends and will be greatly missed.
