Theodore Robert Deeds, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Friday, September 1, 2023. The family will greet friends from 4 – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. Burial: Mount Washington Cemetery, Perryopolis, Pennsylvania.
Ted was born September 19, 1934, in Whitsett, Pennsylvania, the son of Catherine (Kidweiler) and John G. Deeds, Sr. He graduated from Uniontown High School in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Ted served as a signalman in the United States Navy from 1952-55. He worked for GM for 35 years until his retirement in 1993. Ted had a love of cars. He was very helpful, kindhearted, and would do anything for anybody.
Survivors include his son, Kevin Deeds Sr.; and grandson, Kevin Deeds II.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, John William, Michael, Gerald, Mary Ann, Charlotte, and Audrey.
