Thelma Louise Christensen (Lint)

Thelma Louise Christensen, 79, of 151 15th St., died Tuesday, January 15, 2008, at her home, following a sudden illness. Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2008, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Melisa Bracht-Wagner. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Jill Roloff of Marion, Julie (Mark) Allegrezza of Anchorage, Alaska, Keith Christensen of Marion, Jeff (Sue) Christensen of Palo, and Rick (Michelle) Christensen of Marion; her grandchildren, Emily, Aly, and Kris Roloff of Truman, Minnesota, Brad and Kara Christensen of Palo, Ella (Brad) Kassha of Montana, Kyle Francione of Anchorage, Alaska, Zac and Ericka Christensen of Marion; four great-grandchildren, Blake, Gage, Kegan, and Madison; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, Galen Lint.
Thelma was born September 29, 1928, the daughter of Arthur and Hazel (Harford) Lint in Marion. She graduated from Marion High School. On October 26, 1947, she married James Christensen in Marion. He died October 17, 1992.
Thelma loved her time spent outdoors, especially fishing and mushroom hunting. She also enjoyed gardening and her many trips to Alaska. Thelma was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
