Terry Walters, 65, of Earlville passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013 at his home.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the United Parish Church in Earlville by Pastor Jill Mack. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at the Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Earlville and one hour before services at the church on Thursday. Burial will be at the Brown Cemetery, Colesburg.

Terry was born on November 25, 1947 in Manchester , the son of Harold and Letha (Harbaugh) Walters. He graduated from Maquoketa Valley High School in 1967 and then from Kirkwood Community College in 1969. Terry worked for many years as a draftsman for Tri-State Engineering and Fehr-Graham (Tekippe Engineering, P.C.) in Manchester. He was co-founder and the Vice President of Production with Nu-World Amaranth, now Nu-World Foods in Dyersville. Terry enjoyed model trains, classic cars, photography, woodworking and pottery. He was very artistic and designed the bell tower for the United Parish Church. Terry was an active member of the United Parish Church and the Ruth Suckow Memorial Association. He was a Tiger Boy Scout Leader in Earlville form many years. Terry was also an enthusiastic member of the Monticello Model Railroad Club. He enjoyed his family and being part of the family business. Terry was always willing to help others; he was a very selfless man.

Terry is survived by one brother, Larry (Diane) Walters of Naperville, IL; two nieces, Susan (Jay Flood) Walters-Flood of Naperville, IL, Jennifer (Brian) Brasfield of Yorkville, IL; one nephew, Jonathan (Linda) Walters of Chicago, IL; and five great nieces and nephews, Jacqueline, Paige, Gavin, Jillian, and Logan; and a special friend, Dorene Burr.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Letha Walters; and several aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the United Parish Church or the Ruth Suckow Memorial Association in Earlville.
