Terry L. Trout, 64, of Center Point, died December 29, 2009, at Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Services: 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 4, 2009, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Center Point by Rev. Kent Landhuis. Military Honors will be provided. Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Inurnment at a later date.
Survivors include his former wife and friend, Connie Trout of Cedar Rapids; his sons, Jason (Alicia) Trout of Decorah, Matthew Trout of Cedar Rapids, and Cory (Lindsay) Trout of Center Point; a brother, Gary (Patty) Trout of Mechanicsville; and seven grandchildren, Skylea, Hayleigh, Jaida, Aydra, Brielle, Rowan, and Saer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Delila Bahlman and Betty Exman; and a brother, Robert Trout.
Terry was born January 27, 1945, the son of L. Glen and Lillian (Miller) Trout in Sumner. He served with the U.S. Marine Corp. including a tour in Vietnam from 1965-1969. He started his career as a foreman at Farmstead Food and he retired from Cargill where he worked for the last fifteen years.
Terry liked to garden, watch birds, hunt and fish. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
