Terry Lee Loveless
December 8, 1948 — September 10, 2022
Terry Loveless, 73, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at his home. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Grace Baptist Church, 1461 East Post Road, Marion, with Pastor Ballard officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service at the church. Burial with full military rites will follow at Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.
Terry is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Laura; their son, TJ; their daughter, Rebecca; loving grandsons, Zeke and Keagan; a brother, Doug (Renata); and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Terry was born on December 8, 1948, to Jean and Leroy Loveless. Terry graduated from Jefferson High School. He volunteered and served in the United States Marine Corps for six years. He also volunteered for duty in the Vietnam War. Terry worked at ADM and then spent his retirement years golfing with his son, brother, and buddies, and traveling with his daughter and grandsons. He shared his gift of humor with everyone he could. Laura treasured his love and devotion since their marriage in 1970. His joy was his children and grandsons, and his playfulness kept him young. We are better for having known him.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Steven and his parents.
Instead of flowers, Terry requested contributions be sent to Grace Baptist Church in Marion, where he was a member for 63 years, to be used for needy children to attend summer camp.
