Teresa Wille
March 28, 1961 — January 23, 2023
Teresa Wille, 61, of Hiawatha, Iowa, died Monday, January 23, 2023, as a result of ovarian cancer since 2016. A visitation will be held from 9 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. Private family services will be held.
Teresa was born the daughter of Helen and Francis Becker with her siblings Terry, Denise, and David in Norway Iowa. She graduated from Norway High School, Class of 1979. Teresa was a Business Administration graduate of Upper Iowa University. She was united in marriage to Thomas Wille on July 13, 1985. One treasured son, Austin Thomas, was born ten years later. Teresa worked most of her employment at Teleconnect/MCI, and the last 12 years at Coe College as an administrative assistant. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
Teresa was blessed with many memorable family vacations in Colorado and Wyoming, going to St. Louis Blues and Roughrider hockey games, summers at Sugar Bottom camping and jet-skiing, attending classic car shows with the Nova and S-10, and the many fun times with friends and extended family. She was especially proud of her big blue Silverado that Tom and Austin worked so hard to find.
Survivors include her loving husband, Tom and their beloved son, Austin; sister, Denise (Tony) Van Otegham and sons, Evan & Wade; brother, David (Angie) and son, Bryan; sister-in-law, Jane Becker and daughters, Mallory (Kase) Stolte and MacKenzie (Jake) McKain and families; father-in-law, Realto Wille; Tom’s siblings, Kevin, Pat, Cheryl (Dale) Imohel, Terry, Tim (Holly) and families; as well as her fur girls, Eleanor and Sasha.
In addition to her family, Teresa is survived by many close friends and former co-workers who were her inspiration.
Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Helen; brother, Terry; and mother-in-law, Mary Wille.
Dr. Emily Hill, Anna Conry, and the entire teams from UIHC Gynecology Oncology and Infusion Center are also owed a heartfelt thank you.
