Ted O. Tlusty, 48, of 6400 East Cemetery Rd. SW, died Friday, August 24, 2007, in his home. A gathering will be held at Ted’s home from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2007. Arrangements with Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his parents, Wilfred and Evelyn Tlusty of Cedar Rapids; his sons, Bradley of Cedar Rapids, Gregory of Marion and Edwin of Cedar Rapids; his siblings, Sheryl (Dan) Kobusch, Tony Tlusty and David (Joanne) Swenka, all of Cedar Rapids; a grandchild, Kayla; and his sons’ mother, Kelly of Ely.
Ted was born October 6, 1958, the son of Wilfred and Evelyn (Vomacka) Tlusty, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He worked as a machinist for 22 years at Goss and the past three years for Reliable Machine Shop. Ted enjoyed his cars, blue Harley and his two cats, Pumkin and J.D.
He was a member of the IAM #831. A good son, father and grandfather, he will be greatly missed.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Ted.
