Sylvia A. Waltz, 74, of 1225 42nd St. SE, Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at her home, following a short illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2005, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Dr. Kay M. Slocum of First Lutheran Church. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, H. Richard Waltz Jr. of Cedar Rapids, Cindy M. Bideaux (Mike) of Robins, Ed Waltz (Anne) of Delafield, Wisconsin and Deb Waltz (Paul Crawford) of Marion; two sisters, Leora York and Elizabeth Hunt; two brothers, Harold Waller and Enoch Peterson; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Sylvia was born July 5, 1930, the daughter of Enoch and Goldie (McNabb) Peterson in Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Elmer Waller.
A memorial fund has been established in Sylvia?s memory.
