Susan K. Henderson, 52, of Toddville, died Saturday, November 20, 2004, at St. Luke?s Hospital, following a sudden illness. Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2004, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Linda Livingston. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Private family burial will take place at a later date.
Survivors include her husband of thirty-two years, Steve; her daughter, Elizabeth of Toddville, her son, Jeremy of Toddville and her daughter, Sabrina and fiancé Sam Koch of Cedar Rapids; three brothers, John (Kim) Swallow of Pueblo, Colorado, John (Sandy) Mershon of California and Carl Ruland; a sister, Carlene Bradley of Charlotte, North Carolina; and three grandsons, Joshua Otto, Brennan Henderson and Garrett Matthess.
Also surviving are her father-in-law, John Henderson of Toddville; a brother-in-law, John (Diannia) Henderson of Marion; a sister-in-law, Barb (Eugene) Owens of Alburnett; a brother-in-law, Tom (Kathy) Henderson of Marion; a brother-in-law, Doug (Maureen) Henderson of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Willis Hunt, whom she was raised by; two brothers, David Swallow and Willis "Buddy? Hunt, Jr.; a sister-in-law, Sharon Henderson; and her mother-in-law, Lila Henderson.
Sue was born September 20, 1952, the daughter of Harold and JoAnn (Gaddis) Ruland, in Chicago, Illinois. On August 31, 1972, she married Steven Henderson in National City, California.
Sue enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved camping, and watching and going to movies.
A memorial fund has been established in Sue?s memory.
