Sue Ellen Gentz, 75, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017, at her home, with her family by her side. Visitation: 3:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday April 13, 2017, at Bohnenkamp – Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester and one hour prior to the service at the Gospel Hall on Friday. Funeral Services: 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 14, 2017, at the Gospel Hall in Manchester. Burial: Baker Cemetery, Manchester, Iowa.

Sue was born August 11, 1941, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the daughter of John Allen and Winifred Mae (Kimball) Martin, Sr. Sue was a member of the last graduating class of Dundee High School in 1959. On June 12, 1959, Sue was united in marriage to Kenneth Gentz in Manchester, Iowa. Sue was a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed cooking, canning, bird watching, and flower gardening. She loved the scripture she lived by, caring for others, and her family.

Sue is survived by her husband, Kenny Gentz of Manchester; children, Kendy (David) Reiss of Manchester, Kay (Craig) Mulder of Manchester, Jeff (Marianne) Gentz of Circle Pines, Minnesota, Tonya (Steve) Naber of Dyersville, and Chad (Terry) Gentz of Abilene, Kansas; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Merry Beth Baker of South Beloit, Illinois; three sisters-in-law, Marlene Henneberg of Colorado, Fran Martin of Manchester, and Marlene Ryan of Dundee; and two brothers-in-law, Al Kluiter of Allison and Garey Entsminger of Manchester.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents: one great-granddaughter, Laina Roling; two brothers, John Allen Martin and Gerald Curtis Martin; and two sisters, Julie Ann Kluiter and Linda L. Entsminger.
