Stuart "Stu? Dawson, 45, of 1400 2nd Avenue S.E., Cedar Rapids, died at Living Center East, Cedar Rapids, Thursday October 12, 2006, following a short illness. Services: 1:30 p.m., Monday, October 16, 2006, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Chaplain Dave Soldner. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his companion, Diane Duarte of Cedar Rapids; his father, Kenneth (Janie) Dawson; one sister, Linda Schooley of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Kevin Dawson of Cedar Rapids and Craig (Tonya) Dawson of Willow Park, Texas; two nieces; and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Pauline.
Stu was born May 11, 1961, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Kenneth and Pauline (Alexander) Dawson. He was a Route Distributor for the Gazette.
Stu enjoyed reading and old movies.
